QUICK FACTS

MUST-SEES

High above the city you will find the castle of Santa Bárbara, on the mountain Benacantil. The castle lies on a 166 meter height and used to be the fort to spot unwanted visitors right on time.

 

This beautiful castle dates back to the 16th century and did not open for the public until 1963. You can walk all the way up or simply take an elevator to get to the castle, which you can find through the tunnel at Calle Jovellanos.

For those looking for some excitement and adventure the amusement park Terra Mítica is in Benidorm is a must. The magnificent theme park can be found 45km from Alicante, at the Spanish Costa Blanca. The park goes back into time of all cultures that you can find around the Mediterranean Sea: Egyptian, Roman, Greek and Iberian. Beautiful settings, carefully worked out into the smallest details.
